5 way MIDI thru splitter Guitar Version
MINDBURNER 5 WAY MIDI THRU Negative Centre
What does it do?
This midi through box will provide 5 outputs from 1 input.
Ideal for guitarists as it uses a standard pedal power supply (not supplied)
There is no noticeable signal drop or delay in it's design
This device saves daisy chaining
i.e. linking one device to the next.
How is it powered?
Powered by a standard 9v guitar effects power adapter, negative centre. Also 12v negative centre
Can I use a mobile phone power bank?
Usually no. Phone power banks are smart and know when a low current device is plugged in, so they switch off and are therefore unsuitable. A simple old school 4XAA battery holder, with a 2.1mm lead, centre positive would supply 5-6v and be within spec for my 5v devices.
How do I connect it?
Plug in a master controller keyboard MIDI out into the MIDI IN jack on the splitter.
Plug in slave modules, synths and drum machines etc..into the 5 MIDI thru jacks
Plug in 9v guitar pedal power supply (not supplied) can also run on 12v Negative centre
Job done.
